Well thanks one and all for the kind words and encouragement. I have been a bit busy looking for a job and sulking I guess some too but I have take some time to progress here, (I really need to look at the Buck some more but I did do a little there also.) I had to do some clean up on the camo and re draw lines. I got flaps and slats mounted and getting ready to finish the bottom up some more. I painted the flaps off kit and then checked alignment of the camo, not off by too much. I am using a Paasche type h Single action, with a fine tip on it. I really like the control it gives me, I need a better compressor though.

OK doing the first coat of clear coat. I had an issue with the Main as the Rt Main broke off. I took some brass tubing and fitted it into the main wheel and then a smaller gauge brass tube and fitted into the brass on the wheel as the wheel tube was too large to drill into the main strut. super gulled that all together and then drilled the main strut and super glued it all in place. It sound simpler when I tell it then doing it but it works do off with it then. I have to go to New Orleans in the morning to drop my wife off at the airport there, she is going down to Panama to visit family and her nephew works for Copa Airlines. They don't fly out of Houston anymore and so the closest is New Orleans. Hey round trip fr $120 even the round trip and motel makes it cheaper then the next best price. I fitted the antennas and engines and fuel dump all the little stuff save for the clear and the wing glove before the clear coat. After clear and decals and flat I'll do all the lights and wing glove and be done.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the good word.

The F-111 uses a bomb release unit different from everything else. It is called a BRU 3/a. Most aircraft of the era used a standard MER (Multiple Ejector Rack (up to 6 weapons)) or TER (Triple Ejector Rack (up to 3 weapons)).

The BRU 3/a is a 6 weapons unit but is was designed and built for the F-111 and it is designed to be supersonic.

The BRU that Hobby Boss is not correct AT ALL, I perched an Oz Mode set of the BRU but it is only two BRU so I looked at the Academy kit and they are close but a little devoid of detail, catch is when bombs are hung, you want see the detail. SOOOO, I think the Academy with a little work will work well.
