Mask and paint Karl, mask and paint. Probably end up looking than a decal anyway.

I agree - those tail-band decals can be a real pain to align, and apply without wrinkles. Much better to mask and paint I think.

got the tail band done, a little rough in places but it'll look ok with a bit of a clean up
