Beauty! How do you rate this kit, compared to the other 262s you've built?

Sorry, nearly missed your question Terry, it's actually not bad at all, not quite the clean and crisp lines and fit of the Tamiya kit but working through it taking care checking your fit as you go, you can see it builds into quite a good Me262!

Thanks for the info Wayne. I ought to add a '262 to the cabinets some day, but can't decide whether to do it in 1/48th or 1/32nd scale.
Any idea what the old Revell 1/32nd, or old Hasegawa 1/32nd scale kits are like? I don't really want to pay a fortune for detail, such as engines, which will not be seen and, if these older kits can form a good basis, then that'll do me.

Thanks Guys, can't help on the 1/32 Me262 there Terry haven't built one. the trumpeter kit I do have and doesn't look bad "in the b0x" so you will have to see what you can score at the right price!

Gloss coat has been done, but not without a slight mishap.....started spraying the gloss and dropped a spot of the stuff on the starboard tail. In the few moments it took to carefully remove it, it removed some camo paint as well as some back to the plastic.....a few choice words and well....back at it, finished the overall gloss coat for the rest of the aircraft.
Then cleaned her out reapplied the 76, flushed it, reapplied the 82, flushed it again, reapplied the 81, another flushing then the gloss once again...all done in about 20 minutes...so it didn't take long at all to fix, thankfully. added an extra shot of the before and after tail...

So on to the first stage of decaling tomorrow!

Great recovery wayne. By the way what gloss coat are you using?

Gunze Acrylic gloss Vaughan, see below...

That looks delicious!

BTW, where are we supposed to look for this booboo on the tail????

er, well I did not explain myself quite right did I...I have shown the differing repaint of mottling, bit heavier on the 81,I should have taken a shot of the botched gloss removal, but I didn't have the camera in the shed and I was a tad Pi$$ed at the time to think about it...

Anyway moving on, got the fuselage decals in place today...
