Ok, back to work on the F-6. Been working over the weekend and got quite a bit done, I may even finish by the deadline. Pictures 1-3 Cockpit assembled and painted with seat belts made from wine bottle foil. Every time I do this it seems to turn out a little better. Picture 4 Fuselage and wings assembled. I'll let the glue cure a few days wile I work on the landing gear and finish up my two other GB #17 entries.
I've really been pushing on this one the last few days trying to get it finished by the deadline
Pictures 1 2 fit up wasn't bad, the carb intake being the worst,. Before and after clean-up Picture 3 Most F-6's were unarmed. This is one of the patches over the gun ports made from tissue, white glue and Future. Also the landing light blended into the wing contour.
Pictures 4 5 Last couple of the cockpit before it was closed up
Pictures 6 7 Canopy masked and installed and white paint for D-Day, nose and tail markings sprayed. With the complextity of the markings thai is going to take a few days with multiple steps of masking
Pictures 8 9 The prop painted and spinned installed
