I pieced it all together and built the tail kinda looking for my CG, built the inner wing but really the CG won't be known until the folded wings are on with the main gear on. I did a preshade on the interior and then shot a mix of 5 to one white and light grey.

The Cargo floor isdone in a non-skid flat black. The bottom being aluminum, there is normally a primer coat between the two. Ware and tare on the floor sometimes takes most of the non-skid off. There is a bracing system over head painted white. The section above seems to be of a grey. The cockpit seems to be in a tan/buff color. Mind you I am only learning any of this from online pictures. I also found a couple more photos of my subject BurNum 162162, nose number 22 of VCR-30.

While I really, really wanted to avoid doing the pak seats in the cargo hold, I found this is the most common cargo hauled by the C-2A. Most of the cargo hold pictures are of the pak seats in them. So, I was trying to find the right color blue for them. I figured testors 1/4 oz 1111 or 1110 would be the correct color and then I chose the wrong color first! DOOOH!!! the red (pink) arrow is the 1110 (correct color and the yellow arrow is the 1111 which I used first on ALL the seats and then had to repaint! did I mention DOOOH!!!!!!!!

When they dry out I'll paint the off white and then hit the whole thing with flat coat.

I'm sorry Terry but the US Navy uses airline design on this one. The upper interior is grey but the lower sides and seats are an off white, oreste shell maybe.

That's what I mean Don - 'off white', compared to 'pure' white is either a very light shade of grey, or a very light cream shade. In other words, it's more towards white, but with a slight grey or yellow/brown tinge, not straight white.
