dont know if Vallejo have changed the clear matt but my last bottle seems to be better than the previous one i used ?

I use the Vallejo matt varnish for airbrushing - thin it a touch with water, around 60/40, varnish / water, and it should spray fine.
Test first, as it may require a touch more varnish (or vice versa). One coat usually does the trick, but I sometimes give it a second, misted coat.
