Working on installing the guns in the gun bay. One problem I discovered, the upper part of the gun bay where the hinges attach is too long. Not sure if I will cut it off, have to check out how the hinges line up to the door hinges.

Some more scratch built details added to the cockpit, I made an escape handle, heater tube for gunfight and the black thing I always see hanging inside the canopy, probably a flashlight.

Also finished the radio rack, took the stencil decals for the SCR-274N from the new Eduard P-38J cockpit set, which has both SCR-522 and SCR-274N with full stencil decals for both. Since I am using the SCR-522 in my next Lightning, these decals came at the perfect time.

Finished my cockpit detail by adding the 8 levers from the Quintas set, used a tacky acrylic glue to keep them standing up as the Elmer's glue wouldn't hold them in the right position. Then attached both canopies with the same glue. Also got the nose landing gear installed, coming close to completion.
