Thanks all, the radios are in, the right-side of the cockpit and the IP need to be done as well. I have misplaced the tail hook assembly and contacted Airfix but don't have high confidence they will have it as the kit is OOP. I found an "E" sprue (tree) on Evilebay and bought it. When it comes in Hope next week I'll be able to close up the fuselage. All the radio stuff will be gone. the lower access hatch can be left open but even than you can't see anything back there.

After reviewing cockpit shots from D&S F-6F in Detail and Scale and looking over the Air Scale cockpit set I find the kit IP is better. also the center console.
Defiantly not completed but here is where I am.

first I shot the clear IP with flat black, next I used floor polish for the interments faces.

The back of the instructions gives you the detailed decal placements.

Using the the IP decals first, wouldn't want to get too far ahead of myself...

I cut out that section of decals...

and placed them

Next I'll use some set and work it in than some more floor polish and then the face plate.
