Bingo! Those decals that have had small bumps on my builds have always been a challenge. Piercing at the top or of the 'nub' does allow the rest of the decal to settle, but invariably I have to 'toothpick' a dot of color to fix. Sometimes though I have had luck with wetting a Q-Tip with the softener solution and rolling/pressing till it conforms.I've usually resorted to cutting the decal open at the top of the bump with a scalpel and touch up painting it after.
