Thanks Fred. Finally, something to show. Added some braces from the thinnest plastic card. Painted with Tamuya XF-11 J.N.Green, which is supposed to be close to Dull Dark Green and the cushion was done with Model Air U.S. Flat Brown. Cushion weathered with AK Weathering Pencils. Not like the seat above but good enough for me. Harnesses have bee painted and drying. Glue on tomorrow and real modelling begins

Not bad, not bad atall!

Thanks all. Started spritzing today. Normally I would brush paint the interior but I wanted to try airbrushing. I sprayed the floor with Tamiya XF-85 Rubber Black. I did this first as it will be easier to mask the floor and spray Interior Green on the console and what ever that bump is on the right side. As per Andy with leftovers, I may be entering another P-51 if this goes smoothly so I used the left overs on the other kit. I'll probably do this with the other innards colours as well

Looking good Geo.

One point, although there's probably not a lot you can do about it.
In the ETO, the P-51 pilots used a back-pack parachute, with a dinghy pack on the lower harness that fitted into the seat pan, used as a cushion. This meant that there wasn't a seat back rest cushion.
When the back rest cushion was fitted ( I believe in the PTO and/or later in Korea), it doubled as a flotation device, and was yellow in colour. Presumably the back pack parachute was then replaced with a seat type pack, with a dinghy pack between the pilot and parachute pack.
To date, I haven't seen any evidence of the seat back cushion in use in the ETO, although, of course, this might have been possible late in WW2.
