Experienced? Like Jimi Hendrix? Me?
Happy to wade in tho if people want - with the preface of saying i) a good coat of Lacquer totally changes colour - especially the darker colours, making them darker and ii) lighting temperature (kelvin) and type (flouro, flash, tungsten, halogen) all have an effect on colour! And thats before we get to calibration of Monitors and the such! Thus, any critical appraisal of Rochie's colour must take the above into consideration - ie: Rochie might have it 100% correct but be using a BIZARRE Light, Camera and Calibration set up (and having worked in design now and then, what would be considered a bizarre set up to a colour specialist, is 'normal' for most ppl)...
That said, given the above pics, I have to lend support to Crimea and his assessment. Creamy 76 looks spot on; for me, the RLM76 used on Flaps and Ailerons (and should also be on the Rudder and Elevators) is too neutral - should maybe be a bit lighter and bluer; the Grey on the top of the wings tho, I think that captures the mysterious Neutral Wing Grey quite well (one of my many theories is that the 'Mid Grey' on the wings was actually a Light/Faded/Bad Batch of RLM75 or something mixed up to extend the inventory until new colours arrived). The main questions, as Crimea Points out, is the RLM81/82 or 81/83 - since you have mentioned the later combination, we'll run with that.
RLM81 is a bastard of a colour - as mentioned, it ranges from an 'olive' version of RLM83 through to a chocolate-violet colour! That said, this is a tad light (which can be remedied with lacquer and weathering) but isnt too far off one of the known variants - for me, and in this werk nummer range, it needs to be darker and a bit browner.
RLM83 as pointed out is a MUCH darker green - your colour appears to have a distinct 'blue' bias, which unfortunately takes it right out of the ball park.
Do a search for Wayne's Ta 152H-1 (150168 - and admire those PEREFCT Werk Nummer Numerals
) to check out what I consider to be a VERY GOOD take on late RLM colours (and that a/c uses quite a few)... BUT as I have said before, colours are almost impossible to replicate and estimate off B&W pictures (and no one has BOTHERED to do a PANTONE comparision on the few remaining samples of each RLM colour, insisting on working with the retarded, archaic and ridiculously constraining 'Federal Standard' palette, which would have saved this debate, had GRAPHIC DESIGNERS been allowed to sample this stuff years ago) - the MAIN goal of any scheme to aim for correct Tonal Difference; cos that is something we can judge off photo's!
