over 200 homes lost, they say the zig zag railway is destroyed. businesses destroyred. It was a heavy cost. I heard just one fataility, is that correct?

Hope you people are hanging okay down there, despite the aparent disaster. All of the luck.

It aint over yet Tomo, but weve had rain, a drop in the winds and cooler temps. Some lucky breaks in the weather, but thgis is far from over. We arent even into the official bushfire season yet. Fuel loads are too heavy, the ground is very dry, I would think many people still dont have their bushfire safety measures up and working properly. Even the simple act of cleaning out your gutters makes a difference. Too many houses, in touch with nature, have been built too close to dangerous fire sources.
