GRT freighter 480 km NW of Donegal Bay/Ireland. 09.01.41 mentioned in dispatches. 05.05.41
Oblt., awarded the Ehrenpokal. 18.09.41 Oblt. in I./KG 40, awarded the Ritterkreuz for sinking
63,000 GRT of enemy shipping and severely damaging a further 32,000 GRT. 01.11.41 promo to
Hptm. 1942 temporarily attached to technischeamt of the RLM as an expert about long range
