A note though ... There were three Char 1Bis of the same name CONDE. The Nr. 423 that belonged to the 47th BCC, 2nd compaigne, the Nr. 470 belonged to the 28th BCCr, 1st compaigne and Nr. 477 that served in 46e BCC . The one in the pic above is the Nr.470 of the 28th BCCr.
The Char 1Bis tank didn't have the door at both sides of the hull. The entrance door was on the right side only. There was a riveted armour plate on the left side of the hull. The kind of the damage may be found in images of other Char 1Bis tanks hitted the engine compartment . It looks like the internal explosion ripped off the panel.

Here the B1 Bis nr.460 "Aumale" with the same type of the damage ...

The "LYAUTEY ", Nr. 484 of the 46th BCC, the 2nd compaigne. On May 17 while leaving the Bucy-les-Pierrepont village the tank broke down and had to be disarmed and set on fire. The crew withdrew, but the tank commander was unsure whether the fire had started. As can be noticed it didn't rather.
