Hi all just finished the Academy F-14 Tomcat, when I purchased this my intention was to make it from the box, and paint it in the grey colour scheme, along with the sundowners decals.
But having looked at so many in the same colour I wanted to do something totally different, so having found some images I went to work.

The academy kit wasn't to bad; I also used a detailed cockpit set from Aires,
And the Aires engine detailed set.

All paints are Vallejo model air paints, applied with an Aztek spray brush.

I'm getting them this time, but very slowly - and I had to log out and come back, as it slowed the page so much I couldn't go back!
From what I can see )of the still loading pics!) it's looking a good one.
Please check the method of up-loading pics though, as it really is slowing things down. It can happen if using an image hosting site - better (and preferred) to up-load direct to the forum.

Near and dear to my heart the F-14 is! I was in VF-32 from Dec '94 - Oct '98 as an Aviation Machinist's Mate (Power Plants Mechanic). I'm starting my own custom build soon once I get my decal paper to print everything.

Excellent quality pics and build there 8) I don't mind a little dirt, makes it look used and not on parade day or brass n' dress events duties; love the blue splinter camo too upon this Cat, reminds me of a mix of Sukhoi UNSDF Valkirie patterns.
Like some of the others though, I had to come in backwards via 'latest reply/replier' button to skip the initial pic loading delay - it almost locked up my mozilla when I tried it around 7pm-ish GMT last night.
