About an hour ago, an F-5 fighter of the Swiss stunt team crashed at the Leeuwarden airbase. They were practising for the airshow this weekend. Pilot s saved himself. That's all I know at the moment.

Well, that was still there question when I posted this. But now word is out that he is well. What happened is still unclear. Witnesses say it was a collision and I heard reports that a damaged F-5 landed at Leeuwarden. I guess the patrouil Swiss will not be performing next Saturday. The plane fell in a pond, very close to some houses, but afaik nobody on the ground was hurt.

A shame to hear :(. Glad to hear that the pilot and those on the ground are safe though.
