This P-61B is from the 7th Air Force, 548th Night Fighter Squadron based on Iwo Jima. Pilot: Solie Solomon R/O Lee Kendall Between the 14 Aug 1945 to 16 Aug 1945 the "Lady" brought down a Ki-43 and a Ki-44 both of which hit the sea trying to avoid her. These were the last "kills" of the war

Thank you all very much. This is the first time I have ever tried to "weather" a model. I give full credit to Vic, Terry, and Wayne who have gone totally out of their way to help me learn to do this aspect of modeling. I cannot begin to thank them enough. Last but not least Bill (NFN) who searched out all those exhaust pics. Thank you all
 
Beautiful work on one of my favorite planes.
I lived up in the Mt.'s close to the OK boarder, between Waldren (Scott Cnty) and Mena (Polk Cnty), for 10 years and had the time to do a lot of modeling while there. My family has been there for about 150 yrs and I love it there.
I envy you living on Bull Shoals and I'm sure you take advantage of the great fishing there.
 
My sincere thanks to each of you for your kind comments. After seeing your work Glenn, and Vic, and Wayne, and Andy, and... Going to change to Beginner on the next one
