245 (Northern Rhodesian) Squadron, RAF Holmesley South, June, 1944 Flown by Flight Officer W. Smith

From April 1944, 245 Squadron flying Typhoon Mk.Ib's began attacking enemy lines of communication using rocket projectiles in preparation for Operation Overlord and by late June had moved to the continent to support the advance through France.
Just barely got this one done under the wire. The paint scheme was a lot more chalenging than I thought it would be with all the masking and it turned out to take a lot more time than I thought it would.

Hope you guys like it

Nicely done Glenn - and I've only just realised it's 1/72nd scale, thought it was 1/48th !!

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Defiantly 1/72nd Terry. Here it is next to the Monogram1/48th I built about 20 years ago right after I bought my first airbrush.
