This turned out to be a fun/challenging build. A unique bird to say the least. Lots of filler, but all-in-all the gaps turned out (for me anyway) acceptable. Presenting Black-14, lovingly called my 'clown-car'.

Yes indeed.
I'm considering doing the same, in 1/48th scale, converting the Revell Ju-88A4 into a BoB A1, if I can get my darned hands to work !!

I'm kind of excited to work on a kit that has some very good cockpit and engine detail. This will be another kind of challenge, doing it justice. What JU88 kit will you (maybe) doing?

Ralph, it's the Revell (ex Dragon) 1/48th scale Ju-88A4, with a resin conversion kit for the engine nacelles, wing tips etc., in order to make a BoB period version, the Ju-88A1 ( the A-4 variant did not see service in the BoB).
It's a fairly simple conversion, even without the resin parts.

My last post here on the JU88. I'm starting a new thread for another GB-52 build. But I am interested in how much more detail could be in the 1:48 vs the 1:72. See you in the new post? I may have bitten off more than I can chew!

It is very strange for me see a SM 79 not in Regia insigne, but is very nice.
Good work Ralph
