A couple of hints for ya.

I use indirect light, in the shade in other words. Not deep shade, just out of the direct sunlight. Actually on the wing of my BBQ, very hi-tek.

I also use the flash. I zoom in from about 2 feet back. In the shade the camera will still focus, and the flash will fill. And of course the slower the shutter speed, the more of the image that will be sharp.

I use two colors of paper. Big sheets. White or a medium gray. Just depends on the aircraft what color I use. These will not introduce color in the shot which is what happened with the blue paper.
