The first relief flight to arrive in Haiti was a DC-3 flying from St Lucie County airport in Florida. Further testament to the capability of an old, but still extremely useful aircraft.

They did one flight yesterday, which was the first, and it is en route now for another run.

I don't have the history of that one, but it was built in 1944 and has been fitted with turbines and is a turboprop now.
