OK so now I can get back to work here. The right fuselage half had two knockout punches that were over filled. I did not have a micro chisel and so I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a cheap hobby know kit. ($10 for a 56 piece set). It has several but not really what I wanted, but it'll do. I put in a micro chisel (I did not want an angled head, but oh well) and dug them out. Now I have to fund a way to sand them down. I doubt they will be seen with the bomb racks and bombs in but, IT'S A BIG KIT.

You'd think the kit makers would have one modeller among them. I've had a few kits where, had the ejector points been a half inch one way or the other, would have been covered or invisible

OK so now that I've had some time to review all the goodies in the bag and what they will add and not so much, I've narrowed the field down. The interior forward kit is about done, Forward of the divider aft of the pilot/copilot seats is visible and I believe adds a great deal to the view, of course we shall have to wait till all the "glass" goes on to see how true that will be. Aft of the divider, well you can't see anything and I'm not going to spend anymore time fiddling with the PE in that area.

The undercarriage set, I've set up the nose gear well and will finish what I've started, I don't think it is adding anything to the build and is getting to be a bit of a frustration in the build. I've reviewed the main gear well set and I don't think I like the soundness of the set to hold the model in it's finished weight. It replaces the plastic gear well with a PE one. I'm not confident that the PE and super glue will hold that weight and I don't like the PE bing glued to the plastic and then glueing the plastic gear to the PE. I foresee a nightmare in the makings, and again, I don't see it adding a great deal to the build. I do believe that the inside gear door facings will be used and will add to the build. There are some additions to the gear itself, such as the scissor switches and such I do intend to use though as it is a nice modification, though I'll look closely before I do it.

The aft interior will probably not be used at all as it is barely visible though the glass domes, there is some things I may still do but not much. Rebuilding the gun captains mount and chair as the eduard kit would have me do it unlikely as I can't see it adds to anything but how to curse, and I've got that down pretty well!

As for the exterior set, I don't like adding bumps and out growths to what is supposed to be clean lines. It's drag. What was I thinking when I bought that set? More yet what was Eduard thinking when they came up with that set? Oh yeah dummies like me!

I repainted the padded isolation though after a lot of research in photo's I have found everything from interior green to a dark forest green. I settled on mixing RLM70 and 71 together at about a 50/50 mix. here are the results to date.

Oh and I picked up some "Tungsten Putty" as per discussions with Mike. Even buying from China ( they were pretty quick in getting it to me), it was still very expensive and buying enough to bring this monster to it's nose would be out of the question, but I am trying to use it when I can. Behind the IP's, pilots and co, I have placed as much as will fit. It's pretty nice as it can be molded and pushed into any little spot and every little bit will help to bring it to it's nose.

Thanks guys, so for some test fitting. and what can you really see! Well the answer, not as much as I had originally thought. All the radios and the likes in the back, NOT!
