When is "the time"? If we look at the "questionable entry" now we can add wording to include it if it fits.
Ok for the Carrier and Maritime Aircraft - All Eras I was thinking the Douglas TBD-1A Floatplane which is basically the TBD Devastator but with floats on it. The aircraft was only experimental and didn't come up to expectations so ended up being used for torpedo trials. :D

I might add if it was missed, Stormy Weather would inclued any of the Republic "Thunder" series, Flash, Jet, Chief, Cepter, etc.. andy any other such out in the netherworld.

Ok Carrier operations,

Can we start NOW????????????????????

Ok, as long as we are questioning!! The Spitfire Mk.XIV was shipped to the PTO but got there to late to participate. Yes or no to a PTO entry. I can always use it (just ordered today) in the pure Spitfire category but I also ordered a Mk.VIII for that.

I think if you crate it up and bury it in an undisclosed location and let out rumors about it so people will treasure hunt for it for decades to come, hey I'm in!

There was a sqn of spitfire sent to Australia, led by a pilot from Manly NSW. So it's Yes to Spits in the PTO. I will look for details.

RAAF was mainly equipped with Mk.VIII Spits and first saw combat off Darwin in March 1943 in Mk.Vc Spits. Delivery of the Mk.VIII came in July 1944. :D

I think in the illustration at top, the "D" aircraft was the Sqn leader.
Some information to get started..............................
Many thanks for the input. I will have to see if I can match up what I have coming with what can be submitted (markings wise).

I like all of the choices particularly the all era options. I know, I know WWIIAC forum, but I'm more eclectic than most. I have a nearly solid choice or two for most of the categories and many of my "want to build sooooon" wants can be slotted in. Thanks to Crimea_River Crimea_River and everyone else who help build the best modeling experience I've had. It's like having a super active model club meet every other day.

Staying on track, I see only one small change needed to the descriptions so far and that is to include prototypes in the Carrier/Maritime GB for aircraft float trials. Don the "Thunder" series of Republic aircraft clearly meet the theme as worded now I would say.
