Thanks all. One more pair of unique decals to go; the scoreboard on the canopy. After that, a few stencils and the lil bits. While waiting for the clear over the right side codes to dry I noticed a few spots on some green stripes that were a tad short. I could have let it be but I mixed up some Tamiya green and grey and kept testing it against the spare green bar. Once I couldn't see a difference between paint and bar I did the touch ups

....and invasion stripes. The stencils are very readable and danged it I don't see a touch-up or three that I never noticed before. That exhaust was very stubborn to put in. The one on the right just dropped in and, because there was a decal in the way, this one fought me for about 10 minutes with sanding and filing.

Thanks guys. A couple things took me aback when I first looked at that extreme close-up last night. One was the lack of clear film showing around the decals. The larger ones had a more than a millimetre around the decal and the stencils a bit less and in the photo, nada. The second thing was the lack of a ridge between the paint colours. I never looked at the paint work this close before

Flat coat using Winsor & Newton Matte and Tamiya thinner 3:1. I love this matte as it is almost dry to the touch immediately. I sprayed the top and bottom of the right wing first and then sprayed the rest of the model except for the left wing. Once done I could hold the model by the right wing and spray the left wing. There's a cloud on the canopy, not sure what its from as there was lots of tape over the area and it was tacked on with puzzle glue. On the windscreen, I'm having trouble getting some of the liquid mask off. Never had this issue before

I'll let it set for a few hours and then stick on the lil bits
