GB-65 1/48 YF-4E Phantom - No Propellers (1 Viewer)

What I go thru for decals. I may paint the blue, just get thin stripes for the o'lines.
I found images of 1/72 stripes but when traced, enlarged I found they were to wide!!!
So back to tape, pencil rubbing and tracing my own!!!!!!

I don't have access to your custom decal maker so would mask and paint the whole thing. Spray rough black strip first. Cut thin strips of masking tape and apply where the black outlines go, then spray white all around the masked black strips, mask the outer white areas, paint the blue, then strip. And Bill's your uncle.

As my friend Xavi says, "it's time to start making tapes" as Andy says, except that I would mask the black area and then cover it with white, it would be more difficult.
 
So dealing with the "stripe" and the silly contour....... gadzooks.
Took some cogitating but came up with a solution.
As you can see from the above post, taped what I wanted.

Then I made a "rubbing" of the tape as the decal is limited in bending!!
The rubbing is done with the side of a pencil lead.

I then scanned it, then traced it in Corel and printed it.

I cut the Tracing out of the print and BAM, fits! Works!!!!
Ready to print, just have to decide on colors.
And...................... start building!
