GBs 58 thru 65 - Finalized Schedule (2 Viewers)

Hi Everyone.

I know the current schedule of GB's will be over in June and that I had indicated that I would start canvassing the members formally for ideas for the next round come March or April. It seems many of you are champing at the bit given the last few pages of posts here and your enthusiasm, while commendable, has not rubbed off on me. I'm sorry to say that I'm no longer prepared to organize the polling for the next round of GBs due to many other things outside of this forum that are more important to me right now.

I hope that one of you will take up the sword and give this the energy that it deserves. I am happy to share the excel spreadsheet that I used last time if that might be useful, though it may not make sense to someone of saner mind. Fire me a PM if its needed.

Good Luck

Andy

I'm no good with the computer side of things, but we can make a start by coming up with ideas for subjects.

So far we have a few, if people like them:

1. Middle East Conflicts - Any conflict, any era, from WW.I to current.

2. They Also Served- Anything other than front- line fighters or bombers serving in WW II - Target tugs, trainers, transports, base hacks, communications aircraft, Search and Rescue, espionage/ resistance, reconnaissance, engine test beds, etc. Fghters and bombers can be included if serving in a secondary function (eg. Halifaxes, Stirlings and Albemarles as glider tugs, Lancs as engine test beds)

3. Post War Warriors - Post war civil and military use of WW.II aircraft.
I would restrict it to actual serving types, not post war development of German or other designs (Bell X-5 from Me P.1101, etc.)

These are just a few thoughts. They can be changed if someone has better or other ideas. We should start to get a list happening of potenrial ideas anyway.

Vietnam, Korea, a post war, war or conflict.

Just to bring this back on track.

Andy, my sincere thanks for all the hard work you have contributed to the keeping these GB going. It's not easy to compile a workable schedule of builds for this bunch of rebels, you have managed to keep the cap on some wild ideas and have also kept the ball rolling. So well done old chap and again, thanks for all your efforts.

Also, many thanks Alan for being the real hero and taking this task on.
