Hey, a flat four is a flat four is a flat four. Goes with the territory..I never realized just how much an 0-235 sounds like a VW engine....
Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Put a Subaru in reverse, spin around in the seat and relive your youth.Hey, a flat four is a flat four is a flat four. Goes with the territory.
Nah, man, that doesn't work. Liquid cooled flat fours are a different beast entirely in the audio department. I should have stated "air cooled" flat fours in my comparison. No one would mistake my Goldwing or my brother's Subaru for a beetle or a C152.Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Put a Subaru in reverse, spin around in the seat and relive your youth.
That's 'cause your analyzing them from the wrong perspective; from in front rather than from behind. You've probably never let one get in front of you. Now if you're comparing a hot rod Subie with a fancy exhaust to a stock VW, then all bets are off. I bet you wouldn't hear the difference at idle between a Wright 1820 and a Pratt 1830, either.Been around long enough to mistake every Subaru that ever came up behind me for a Vee Wee.
