This is an Avenger (TBM-1D) from VT-51 aboard the USS San Jacinto, circa 1944. The ASD-1 wing radome is an oddity in that most of it is above the wing, not slung below. The kit is to 1/72 from Academy. The only modification is the radome which I scratch built due to its odd shape. You don't see many wartime Avengers with wing pods.

My scanner is down. Here is a photo from Squadron Publications-TBM/TBF Avenger in Action, P 27. The smaller photo with the black radome won't take.

Beautiful. Thanks. I didn't realize the radar technology in 1944 had such range for such a small dish!
