Apologies if this is a repost, did a search but found nothing. The Government recently announced that Gurkhas would not be allowed to settle in this country or be given the same pension rights. There was such a public outrage that the government have performed a complete u-turn and will allow any who have served for 4 years or more to have UK residency. Damn right I say, everyone who fights for a country should be allowed to live there!

Bl**dy marvellous, and I should think so too! They've been Britain's most loyal ex-Colonial troops for over 100 years, and the way they were treated by our Government was nothing short of disgusting. This news has made my day!
 
Good call!!! Maybe someone convinced the idiots that you really don't want to piss of a bunch of Gurkhas. Its not good for one's health.
