Here's what I have so far, no real fit issues to speak of yet,buy there still is a ways to go. So far I love this kit. My 1st Hasegawa. Got to get me a Wildcat Bearcat to complete the trilogy.

Matt black rather... however it might look like semi-gloss, especially at blade roots.

Period pictures seem to show a semi-gloss when new, turning to matt with use.

She is in the paint shop now. I misplaced my camera so I have no pictures of progress from last time until now.Had a hell of a time with the exhaust stacks,so I just left them off this time as you wont see them when she is all buttoned up. I ordered another one and the Trump version. I really enjoy this plane . Went together quite well. I am going to have the wheels up in flight when it is all done. Pics later

Right, about 18 hours since my last post, where's them pics!!??

Been busy shoveling snow. This is it so far. FS15042 Testors spray. Awaiting these decals and ready to finish drop tank,engine and prop. I made the mistake of gluing the wheels together,so they were too thick for the wheel well covers to fit flush,so I had to sand them down.Lost my patience with the exhaust and trashed it(anger management).Oh well you wont see it after I glue the cowl on. More later. Decals are going to be 71

Just a quick question about Trumps F4F Late. What is the Lt blue colour with the white arrow on the red,white and blue roundels for?

That represents an overpainting of the previous insignia
