Well I'm very close to joining the fuselage. The cockpit walls are sprayed interior green where they will be visible and the area behind the pilot. There are two areas on the lower fuselage below the wings that will need some attention as there are sink marks on both halves some squadron green putty should fix it. In the mean time I've constructed the wheel bays and have sprayed them ZCY by mixing ZCG and a few drops of yellow this seem to have come out ok.

Damn, Vaughan, those wells look nice! The cowl came out GREAT. I am so looking forward to watching you work your magic on the rest of the build.

Hi all
At last the fuselage is finally together a small amount of filing was required but I made sure that the seam from the front of the cockpit to the the engine cowling was left as it present on the real P47D(see Image). Wheel wells are now attached to the lower wings and also the optional panels have been added for the Maj Glenn T.Eagleston version the landing light being at the far right. I will also need to remove the two rails from the lower wing surfaces, and drill two holes, to allow the hangers for the drop tanks or bombs to be fitted.

Outstanding craftsmanship!!! I am doing the brother to this the 1/32 Hase F6F-5. I was wondering if you have done a hellcat and if so can you post a couple of pics for me to reference. I am doing overall FS15042 with #71 markings. You give me inspiration to make each build a little better than the last one. Cheers to you my modelling brother...Gary

Gary thanks for the comp, unfortunately I haven't built a Hellcat but may in the future.

Thanks guys.
Well the wings are on, a smear of putty was required and I have also added the drop tank/bomb pylons. Yesterday afternoon I made a start on the wheel bay doors and the under carriage legs opting to spray them olive drab as I believe this was the case on later models.

Nice, I see your f4f in the background. I am going to start my Trump 1/32. Can you post a couple of pics for reference for me because that is the paint scheme I am going to use. Thanks...Gary
