Geesh, ANY temp leading with a minus, regardless of the scale, is not a temp, that is a sentence IMHO. Although, I do LOVE to see snow. LOVE IT. Send me all the pictures you care to send. I'll stick with my weather in central Texas. Yeah, we get hotter than the hinges of Hades in the late summer, but, I HAVE AIR CONDITIONING and a POOL. Cold is just COLD. Besides, I kinda like my nuts at a warmer temp... oh, wait, my ex kept em. Damn that crappy lawyer of mine.
Vaughan, that cowl looks way nice, buddy.
Dale

A further update since yesterday it's been snowing again another 4" and my nuts are still frozen. I braved the elements again wearing my fleece and hat and have dipped in and out all day only coming inside to apply the decals. I masked the cowling off so I could spray the black areas. once dry a coat of klear. This afternoon(indoors in the warm) I applied the skull and cross bone nose art to each side plenty of decal soft was needed to help it conform to the curves all went well. I have just applied a second coat of klear which I will allow to dry overnight before I enhance the panel line with a wash. Those fuselage halves can wait no longer they will be next.

Vaughn, you make it look so easy! Perhaps the nut-sicles help with precision work? Maybe you can sit in an ice filled cooler when summer rolls around, wouldn't want you to loose that edge!

I like that Vaughan. We had a short loss in gas supply here today, until a damaged main was repaired, which resulted in loss of central heating for a few hours. So, to keep warm, I sat in the 'fridge and read a book - was warmer than my kitchen or lounge!

I really don't miss all of those cold winter days, I'm cold just remembering them as I sit in my shorts with the window open just north of Miami. Good looking jug you have there, the P-47 is my favorite.

Vaughan, simply lovely work. You are really tempting me to get a couple 1/32 kits now.
Dale
Dale go for it I have only built 32nd scale as this is the scale that I feel comfortable with, I have great admiration for all the guys who build at 1/72 and 1/48 scale, I don't know how you do it and manage to achieve such great detail.
