And it's an observation plane , they're basic designs. It was never meant for combat, unlike the French joke.

Agreed, the French one is worse, much worse than that and it was meant to go into combat...

Its ironic that the French now have really great looking aircraft, Rafale as a prime example.

Well the only French aircraft I like is Potez 613 and Dewotine D.520... Hmm the other (like Caudron 714, MB.152, MS.406) weren't that nice but still not as ugly as that Potez there...

Actually a piston engined aircraft could have had quite an advantage against jets, especially if it flew slower than the fighters' stalling-speed.
