Hello everyone!
My name is Neil Leslie (although I sometimes use the pseudonym Niall Mor) and I'm here trying to find information about my late father, William Stewart Leslie, a veteran of the Ninth Air Force, USAAF, who served in the ETO in World War II. I believe he flew mostly P-51's (though I'm not sure whether it was for combat or reconnaissance) and he may have also flown B-25s. I believe I found his serial numbers via some online databases and a set of dog tags, and I've submitted a request for information to the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, but I'm hoping folks here might be able to help me identify his wing, group, and squadron, so that I can find out as much about his wartime service as possible.
