I'm pretty sure "Pappy" Boyington and Bob Tuck formed an elite squadron flying a mix of WW2 vintage aircraft that was super-scienced into stealth jets to fight the alien invasion of 1956. Anyways, I have a lug nut to prove it. On sale now, starting price of one million.
Any takers?

How long can a guy like that keep up his charade? In the face of overwhelming evidence against his case, you gotta wonder. If (and that's a big if) he has some evidence to the contrary, he needs to share it. To do otherwise would be a great disservice to history. Facts do occasionally surface that refutes what is generally believed. But in this case, I think this moron is slinging a big load of BS.

Just look up the post about the 109 escorting the crippled 17.

That is where it started. It then got real heavy in a different thread but it was removed by the mods.

No, Don Gentille's Mustang is in my back yard, under restoration, along with one of Galland's modified Bf109F's. Heck, I thought everyone knew that !!

if your back yard used to be the airstrip at debden it just might. all the accounts i have read say after gentile unintentionally bellied it in showing off for reporters they scrapped the plane...took useable stuff off and pushed it in the trash pit at debden....i have not found where they dug up that pit for scrap. the owner of the land where the 357th was in leiston found stuff way up into the 70s. 40 some bicycles were pulled from a pond. wouldnt it be something to dig up that checkerboard panel from the nose???

Apparently, after breaking its back, as seen in at least two photos, it was bulldozed into a pond on the adjoining farmer's field - and I've already looked at every pond around Debden, on Google Earth!

Those ponds, holes, bomb craters etc that have since been filled in, or become overgrown, are very often still visible in aerial/satellite photos, if you know what to look for. One trick, if you're able to print-off a pic, is to turn it upside down - any depression, or marks of a depression, will then show up as a mound or 'pimple', something I learned in training for aerial photo analysis.
