    Yep 100% fake.

Look how it lands....... the way it bounces so quickly... and that it just doesn't look right overall.

The often occuring blurryness of the footage is a dead give away and as B-17 said , that pathetic landing

The landing looked like the sort of graphics you'd get from a game like Grand Theft Auto :)

Looks like a remote control airplane with the ending spliced in.

That's an enlarged, close-up vesion of footage posted here before. The originasl footage was much clearer and not as 'jerky'. I've also seen it elsewhere, and a 'still' in a magazine. It was apparently real, and happened at an aerobatic competition!

Can you apply enough stick to compensate for the loss of an entire wing?

I've just been told it's actually a splice from a real plane over a model, done in CS4 by a studio. I'd love to know 100% either way.

I first saw it quite awhile ago. I couldn't believe my eyes, either, so I made a cursory search for corrobating reports that would confirm that it was an actual event. I turned up zilch...

It wasn't much of a search, and I know that absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence, but it seems reasonable to assume that such an extraordinary event in a very public venue would be reported somewhere...

Until I can see some credible independent corroboration, I'm saying that it's a hoax.

It was part of an overseas commercial. If something like this had really happened, it would have been all over the news.

Sorry to bust any impressed feelings, but Snopes has a few things to say on the matter:

    snopes.com: One Wing Plane Landing

But somehow I wish that it was true, that would've made one hell of an impressive story! ;)

    Cheers,

    Maria.

I've seen the video debunked too.
I thought I saw a video showing how it was done.
I also thought there was a thread here that proved it was fake.
Maybe it was on another forum...
