So today a lady booked a room for her and her boyfriend.
She left instructions to allow her brother to arrive early and decorate the room and deliver an engagement ring as she was going to propose.

They arrive and all seems to go well.

An hour later he leaves in a taxi and she is sitting in reception crying her eyes out waiting to be picked up.

Not sure what happened but guessing it was a no !


And tonight we hosted a Burn's night supper.

I did Smoked haddock and potato chowder, braised beef with haggis crust, neeps and tatties.

A lady who said she was vegetarian asked where the haggis crust was on her squash Wellington?

She seemed shocked that haggis wasn't vegetarian !

A friend's female partner told me she was a vegetarian, and wouldn't eat beef.
So I told her that beef came from cows, who are vegetarians, so where's the problem ?
I got a strange look in return !!

Now asking my butcher if he can get Panda meat, how much and will it arrive in time.

Also goats cheese from 2 herds ?
Will this expert on goats cheese be able to tell which goats the milk came from ?

First person " what type of milk is in the clotted cream ? "

Second.

2 x tandoori flat breads please, but i want the fries served on seperate plates before the flatbreads.

Strange, but we did as they asked.

First thing they did was pick up the fries and tip them on the same plate as the flat breads and give the waiter the empty plates to take away ??????
