These two photos were taken earlier today on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on the occasion of the 37th annual National Police Memorial. As many of you know I am a retired Police Officer and my youngest son joined the Waterloo Regional Police Service earlier this year as a member of their Auxiliary. He called me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would like to attend this year's service with him and I jumped at the opportunity. I was very proud to march with him for the first time.
Lovely picture of you both Jeff and congrats to your son and what a fitting setting which I immediately recognised that grand old building from my first visit to Canada about 4 years back
The Cenotaph in Ottawa is the resting place for Canada's Unknown Soldier. A very special place during the day but it felt even more special after darkness settled in.
Every year at Thunder Over Michigan Air Show they have a battle re-enactment and this year they had 5 Stuart tanks taking part. At least I think they are Stuarts.....
