The Cenotaph in Ottawa is the resting place for Canada's Unknown Soldier. A very special place during the day but it felt even more special after darkness settled in.
My granddaughter helping out around the house. She loves to cut the grass but when you look back when she is "done" it looks like she got into the liquor cabinet.
Mother Superior has decided that landscaping the front of the house is project #1 for the summer. I spent the better part of Canada Day pulling old bushes and the like from around the front of the house and by today they had dried out enough that it was time to burn them off as best as possible. Looking every bit the fire fighter in my protective gear I had at them and when all was said and done I am claiming victory. I didn't get hurt and I didn't burn down the house.
Luckily I have a bit of property so the burning took place far away from any structures. I could have gone a bit further still but I ran out of hose!
No laughing at the outfit....it was stinking hot today.
