One of my true heros, making his living playing heroic figures, deserving a movie, IMHO. Hope it's not twisted to current agendas and full of angst.
I saw him talk to SAC officers in '55, and later I was visiting Oliver Hardy with a friend, then infirm and living very modestly near Hollywood, when Stewart showed up just to check in on him and bring a few items. We went back to his home to bring something back to Hardy, nice, but similar to what a lot of my middle class friends own, not a mansion.
