Now, I share this wonderful aircraft; for me it is one of the model icons of the WWII.
Among its many versions, the kit that fell into my hands is the legendary model of
Revell, which surely from times young, many of you enjoyed it.
1/48 Revell: Corsair F4U-4
Among so many current and periodical photographs, I share some ...
Impressive engine, speed and range of action (I will not give the datasheet), but I share that I have learned to admire and recognize this formidable plane.
I will never get to know the Corsair, not even half of what many of you.
The contribution, knowledge, images and lessons offered by several of you (as in each of my built models), enrich me to know more deeply this military aviation that I love.
Among several interesting and attractive schemes, this version is the one I liked the most:
CHANCE VOUGHT F4U-4 CORSAIR of United States Marin Corps training squadron VMFT-20, based at M.C.A.S. Cherry Point in 1952
The kit, is relatively simple to assemble, the option I decided to do in flight, involved some adjustments, resane work and sanding, but I think it went ahead.
Like all my models so far, the work was done OOB, with scratch work, various wires, some electronics, etc.
I hope you like it:
Any questions and comments are welcome.
If someone does not know the construction process and you are interested, in our section of Start to Finish Builds you can see my thread.
