Then there was none. Time has finally caught up with the last dive bomber pilot who flew two missions on that fateful day on June 4th 1942.

Instead of the obituary thread, I figured he deserved his own thread.

I do the maintenance on a TBM , UNtil I worked on one and flew in it I never fully understood what those brave, fearless men did. I act as the Chief of maintenance and feel honored to be part of history, keeping the memory of the greatest generating alive. May he rest in peace.
