Since I started playing this game, Ive always wanted to make up my own video clips with music.....

I have finally figured out how to do it.....

The song is Godless by UPO, and I used a program called FRAPS to video capture a mission I flew in the game IL-2 Stumovik/1946....

Its the story of a decorated Russian Hero, who takes off on a scramble to stop Luftwaffe ground attack units from decimating a forward Soviet airbase... In the course of the mission, this no name Soviet pilot destroys 12 enemy aircraft, and then gives up in his own during a head on pass with a 37mm armed Hs 129B-2....

It took me forever to get this thing right, so Im hopin u guys are pleased...

I've decided on using the song Duality by Slipknot for the next video....

Ive also decided to use the mission on July 18th, 1944 when IV/JG3 and their Sturmbocks attacked the 483rd BG of the 15th AF...

Dan from one Sturm acct. around 19,000 feet, not sure if the 483rd bg got to the regular bombing/cruising height or not but they mention they did bomb effectively. a total of 17 Bombers were shot down, 14 - 15 from the 483rd and checking data to see the others from what bg. cannot find truthfully the number of P-51's claimed and I think 0 for the P-38's of the 1st fg were shot down. JG 300 Bf 109's came into contact with them and lost ?

Well, Ive flown the mission and recorded the different tracks... What a bitch it was to get it close to reality Erich... My 20 Sturmsbocks knocked all 26 -17's out of the sky before they got close to the airfield....

    Had to make some changes....

I did not add any P-51's, just the -38's that come in after the bombers make their run on Memmingen... I think I killed 3 of the -38's, as well as 6 or 7 B-17's....

I suppose Im alittle better at flying Sims than ol' Wilhelm Moritz.......

Ive got the first 30 seconds or so already put together....

OK fellas, after several issues, once again with Windows Movie Maker, I got this thing done....

July 18th, 1944, IV./JG3, led by myself playing the part of Gruppen Kommanduer Wilhelm Moritz, takes off from Memmingen Airbase in true blooded Sturm fashion, goin after the unescorted B-17's of the 483rd BG of the 15th.... Their mission is to bomb my airfield which has approximatly 80 or so twin engined Me 110's and 210's... After the bombers run on Memmingen, an escort flight of P-38's comes in to the rescue....

This is a factual mission that cost the 8th AF a bunch of bombers.... I tore em up, raking up 9 kills... Here it is...

    Music is Duality by Slipknot....

Getting the Mission Builder to cooperate with me is gonna be a bitch...

Les that's really good work, you captured the video in a way that compliments the game's graphics nicely.

I also like that you make an effort to make everything close to reality.

Looking forward to the next one!

    Thanks Chocks...... Greatly appreaciated....

Erich, I really like BLS, especially Zach Wyldes licks, but Ive got in mind 4 songs to choose from.....

Limp Bizkit - Gimmie The Mic
    Lamb of God - Redneck
    Slipknot - Psychosocial
    Sevendust - Enemy

All 4 songs have great potential for this video I (we're) puttin together to show this board what the Tank could do against the finest in Mustangs... Right now Im leaning towards the Slipknot song, but until I actually make the mission and fly/record it, its still up in the air....
