Thanks Guys, at least with the gloss coat the mottled effect of the 2 greens is more visible...

Very nicely done Wayne, and I'm with Andy - the only way I can get a good gloss like that is to use brushed-on enamel gloss varnish. It works well, but takes time and care to apply, and an age to fully harden. Can't seem to find a good acrylic gloss locally, at least, not one which doesn't cost the Earth!

Or enough to cover in one go?

Bill, depends on the model, but usually a first overall light coat then build up a heavier coat mainly where all the decals go...

managed to do the lower panel line work the other day, and have since given it another coat of gloss to seal it, flat coat will happen this weekend.
