Not one to complain, but you can still see the decalfilm on the Bv 138.... :oops: Great looking models! Love the Ford Trimotor!

Bear in mind that some of the entrants are still in the early stages of modelling...silvering on decals can certainly be a sign of this, along with other telltale issues that standout....

Cut them off carefeully with an x-acto knife. But applying them over a gloss clear coat like Future first and then applying an overall spray of dull coat will usually hide them.
 
Vic, first, apply the decals to a gloss surface, preferably using a decal solution, such as Micro Sol and / or Set. If there are signs of 'silvering' when set, then prick the decal with a pin, and apply more solution with a brush. If there are still edges showing, they may need painting-in. Sometimes, some decals never seem to be free of all silvering, fortunately fairly rare these days. On the Corsair above, I think perhaps the decals were applied direct to a matt-painted surface.
