I have to chime in here. What exactly is that Mustang version supposed to be? Looks like a Spitstang Mk XV with a Griffon engine. Anyone know or care to laugh in?

I have to agree Matt, the nose looks rather wide behind the spinner, and rather 'flat' on the top cowling. The spinner also looks a bit 'slim'. It could be that the kit is 'off' in this area, and the efect is accentuated by the camouflage pattern. We're normally used to seeing P51D/K's with a colured band around the nose, with the rest a 'solid' colour - Olive Drab or NMF usually, so this could effect the appearance. When RAF P51C's went to 2 TAF and 'lost' the white nose band and sky spinner, having a black spinner, the shape looked different because of this. But, I do think the model is a bit 'out' on the nose profile.

 the chequer tail was not supposed to be there.....that will teach me to watch TV while editing the pics...
