OK, must admit, I saw that plane in the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" but are you saying there was a real "E555"? I thought it was a Hollywood invention.

Nice model though.

Speilberg took some liberties in Raiders with that "design". Nice execution, but looks rather silly if you ask me.

This one took third place...it must have been a late entry as I only had the one shot of this Spitty?? :(

I think the Arado was kind of cute and I believe they also had a jet propelled concept version on the drawing board. The PR Spit looks great to

Hi Wayne, many thanks for the time and effort in producing this thread for us model junkies.

Can you provide any details as to why some of the models ranked higher than the others, they all look great in the pictures and am wondering what the differences are in the build quality etc.

Cheers Switcha

Lots of the models look great on the table....it's when you get up close and personal as a judge and work through the build and finish criteria that you sort out the best ones and the placings...the Winners and place getters are usually pretty well constructed and painted with a good degree of realism. When you know what to look for it becomes easier to see the many skill levels of the modellers and pick the beginners right through to the Masters...some of the most obvious things for beginners and early stage modellers are seam lines, paint finish (mostly brush) and silvered decals. These are not bad things they are simply areas where the processes have not yet been learnt by the modeller.
I still have in my cabinet such a model, an Fw190....seam lines, brush painted in the wrong colours, silvered decals on a matt finish, but I remember at the time it was brilliant and I loved it...it is my keeping things in Perspective model. We all start without knowledge and learn how to progress and improve...

Ok next subject a Mitsubishi Betty Bomber.
