Man-o-man....... There is no clear runaway winner in this bunch...... Small wonder it's not one vote each.

Karl I agree, this is one of your best so far. Just a great overall looking result.
Chuckie, what a treat watching a wood, fabric and dope kit being built. Kudos.
George, a great job hacking that kit up for a racer. Ir's not always easy to make the mods.
Bruce, and just seat belts as extras.... why can't I learn to do that. A wonderfully clean piece. Could I paint my ute in these colors??? Hmm
Paul, the wire and crap from your bench worked out just fine on the Mk.XVXCM Spitfire.
Cory, jammed code? Humbug. You've got a nice finish to that kit. More kudos.
Michael, I wish I had done my 3A at the same time, I got so much cockpit stuff left over!!!! You have nothing to apologize for, we all struggle.
Vic, once again all them thingies inside. But no loo this time? Nice deckles! And them antennae stand offs, wow. Yet more kudos.
Jason, I sure wish your photo would show up, cuz That is a beauty.....
Andy, I gotta try that wash stuff...... The bright pics don't show off all the good stuff, shoot in the shade for us.. Still more kudos.
Vic, I'll arrange a new script for Valium after that paint job on the Eurocopter.

Jerry, smashing bunson burner....... I haven't done a jet since I was 12, a Cougar! Newest in the fleet at the time.
Terry, what can I say, another cracker of a build.....

So............ now why can't I make a simple decision? I ask you!

A very tough choice but I had to go with Airframes' Tornado, a lot of work went into it and I think it turned out great.

I had to re-upload my pics in my Flickr account that's why some of the links are dead.

Good on you Charles, nice to see and it is also nice to see some more good senior citizens in there.

Not on much recently, but if I'm still in time, my vote goes in for Andy's Spitty.

VERY hard to decide, especially given the mixed subjects, but there were about 5 contenders for top place for me.

A couple of points:

- Could there be a seperate category for 'special media' kits (ie, non-plastic/ resin)? Charles did a beautiful job with his Spitty seaplane (and previously with his likewise balsa A6M2-N) but generic inaccuracies of said balsa kits always detracts from his getting voted. His overall effects achieved and workmanship however are outstanding and worthy of some form of recognition I think.

- This build was a prime case of why Split builds are no good, and I hope we won't have them again. How the hell can you compare helicopters, Spitfires and modern jet fighters??!!!

- My overall favourite on this build is actually one which is unfinished... Wayne's Spitty Mk.VIII. Some absolutely beautiful builds here, but that is going to be something to see...

Great work everyone! It's really something when EVERYONE has done a good job, and you have to really nitpick to decide a favourite!

I never looked at split builds like that, till now. But then we are voting for our fav of the builds, not necessarily the category. Perhaps the variety of builds is what is making my decision so difficult. I agree about Charles' build, took me back to being 12 again, what a treat, I gotta build one-o them. I had a 1/4 scale Citabria going about 12 years ago, only half finished it.

I'm voting for........................... I don;t know

Still trying to narrow this on down and I don't want to be drawing slips of paper out of the hat. I've got it down to a final five…………………maybe six, so now I'm going to sleep on it.

I'm still deliberating !
I agree about a separate category for 'non plastic kits', and maybe there should be categories for different types, such as balsa, resin, vac-folrm,or totally scratch-built, and so on.
I also fully agree about the split builds - they're a pain, get rid!!
