[rob23]

Kinda sorta WWII related.
I've always liked the lines of the Ryan ST-A

Was it the PT-22 with the radial? Always thought it was a very nice looking airplane, too.

[MIflyer]

Unlike mine, this 1941 Ercoupe is actually a WWII airplane, and definitely should be in the running for most beautiful. Also there is shot of a friend of mine's postwar Ercoupe with a WWII vintage aircraft that is NOT beautiful.

We all know what the correct answer is,, right??

Of course. That's why there are so many different answers.

Now that's one I haven't heard in years

I like the TA-152 h1..

Consolidated made ugly aircraft Boeing beautiful ones.

Lancs with Hercules are ugly as are Halifax with Merlin.

And vice versa!

Very strange

While I agree that flying botas are cool, the Dornier Do X in the most beautiful aircraft thread is a bit of an oxymoron.

[SaparotRob]

Does look like a floating wind farm.

Flying boats always remind me of that scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark...

The only thing the Do X is missing are smoke stacks.

[Donivanp]

But I do love the Boeing Clipper

Quoted for truth -- the prow looks like the stem of a ship, and the cockpit looks like the top level of the bridge of a Town-class cruiser.
