Football has one thing that peeves me they never play the Superbowl in the winter states outdoors it just ain't right. Whats good in the regular season should be good for the playoffs

I agree. Bothers me too. It's the only championship of a major pro sport played at a neutral site. But with the spectacle it has become and the money involved, it will never change.

However the Cowboys went 3 times in the 90s and won all 3 times, and the 49ers went 2 times in the 90s and won both times. That makes 50% of the decade and 50% of the decade won.

Small correction. The 49ers only won one in the 90s (1994).

The other four were in the 80s ('81, '84, '88, '89).

Negative.

Super Bowl XXIV between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos (55-10 for SF) was played on January 28, 1990 at the Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the 1989 season, but the Super Bowl was played in 1990.

Here are all of the 49ers Super Bowls:

Super Bowl XVI - January 24, 1982, SF 26-21 Bengals
Super Bowl XIX - January 20, 1985, SF 38-16 Dolphins
Super Bowl XXIII - January 22, 1989, SF 20-16 Bengals
Super Bowl XXIV - January 28, 1990, SF 55-10 Broncos
Super Bowl XXIX - January 29, 1995, SF 49-26 Chargers

Yep they did , wonder how many Cowboy fans would show up to a game outside in Buffalo in winter . Remember that Buffalo is only a city of 500,000 and they fill it up to 80,000 every week

Hear you there! I went to a 49ers/Broncos new years game a few years ago in Denver! Man that was cold! Be willing to bet NE East coast would be worse!

Exactly my point, it was the 1989 season. As you know Super Bowls are always played in the year following the season of record.

I always give the 49ers credit for winning four in the '80s.

We might be splitting hairs here but I like to reference seasons for historical purposes, not Super Bowl dates.

For example, when talking about great defenses, nobody ever talks about the '86 Bears. :)

It's the '85 Bears.

The Bills won 105 games in the 90's the the Dallas Fudgepackers won 101 ,

And the Bills got hammered in the most important games they played, twice by the Cowboys. To borrow a phrase from Lombardi, winning isn't everything, it is the ONLY thing.

I don't mean to minimize the achievements of those Bills teams. But they were not the team of the nineties.

If you really want to go that rout, the 49ers won 113 games in the 90s.

You can call the Bills the best team of the 90s all you want, but it just ain't true...

Or any other decade...

I hear what you are saying, and I agree with you. But if you actually want to talk decades it was 3 in the 80s and 2 in the 90s for all intensive purposes.

But as I said, you are correct...

Until I mentioned the Bills it seemed every other team except the Bills were mentioned I believe they are overlooked they may not have been the best team buy at least an honouable mention is deserved . They have a horrible record but still sell out in weather that would terrorize a Cowboy fan .
Now to lighten the moment
What did the Bills fan do when they won the Super Bowl ?
He turned off his Playstation

First day at school and the little grade 3's kids were asked about their parents profession. ""My dad is a builder"…"My Mum is a lawyer"…and then the little guy said "Daddy is a stripper in the red light district, he goes out to work every night and comes back in the morning". Everybody was shocked and at the end of the class the teacher came to the boy to figure this out. "Is that what your father really does for living?" And the boy answered "No, actually he is a Bills player but it is so embarrassing to me to say so

Brees is "player of the week" for third time this season. 5:00 my time they hit the warm grass of Miami. Hope they keep the ball rolling along.:wav:

Scary time to play the Texans after last week. I have a feeling the 49'ers need to have their "A" game today. Good luck to them.

49ers will be just fine. They will not embarrass themselves again this week. Singletary tore them a new ******* after that performance last week. The D will be back to playing smashmouth in your face football and Gore is back as well.

My only worry is the offense line. If the O-Line holds up and protects the QB, the Niners should be able to win it.

Well so much for that...

The Niners are back to their old ways. No pass defense, no offense line and no offense all together...

Houston is up 21-0 in the 2nd Qtr.
